This transcription is based exclusively on two autograph manuscripts for voice and piano by Michele Novaro, namely the one kept at the Mazzinian Institute of Genoa dated December 5, 1847, and the one preserved in the National Museum of the Italian Risorgimento in Turin which, although it does not have an exact date, bearing the phrase This hymn was composed by me towards the end of the year 1847 seems to be subsequent to the former.
